This community is designed for online ABA master’s students who would like to connect with other students while getting support.
Safe & Equitable Space
Students will learn in a space which is safe to ask questions and learn how to navigate barriers. The community will provide equitable opportunities for all students to learn without the fear of being judged. A respectful environment will be curated and maintained throughout their experience in the community .
Mentorship with Dr. Marlesha Bell
Mentorship is a vital component for being successful as a student. Dr. Bell was a first generation student. She understands the barriers students face as a working student, navigating college as the first in her family, experiencing imposter syndrome, and making it through. Dr. Bell’s goal is to share all of things she learned to make the experience better for students after her.
Academic Support
The students will have an opportunity to bring in ABA material from their courses. Dr. Bell will review the content, provide various real-life and relatable examples, and practice opportunities to test opportunities. These sessions will be interactive and engaging.
Academic & Professional Skills
Support will be provided on study habits, time management, and collaboration with others. There will also be support for building confidence in your skills as you prepare to become a behavior analyst.
